“From 10th to 20th December 2010 was the first time the everyday life of the Hochzillertal ski area has been interactively portrayed by a mountain writer”, explains Martha Schultz, who with her brother Heinz leads the Skifidelity-Mountains-consortium. The Schultz Group next to Hochzillertal adds the St. Jakob ski resort in Defereggental, The Dolomites Residence Sport Hotel Sillian, The Hochpustertal Ski area, The Großglockner resort of Kals-Matrei, The Mölltaler Glacier ski area and Ankogel in Kärnten, in addition to Schultz Residential building (Wohnbau), an insurance office, a receiving travel office and an advertising agency. The job of Mountain writer 2010 was advertised in the entire German speaking world, as Martha Schultz explains “In working together with the Tirol culture initiative buehne-frei.at has an innovative concept been successfully developed. The goal is to win over the new generation of guests. Facebook, YouTube and Twitter are the social networks used daily by hundreds of millions of people. The Mountain writer 2010 had on one hand the task of during their 10 day stay, leaving their impressions, experiences and comments on the identified platforms, on the other hand after the task they should use their compiled contributions to create a book.” She further explains “The costs for this task, including fees and royalties, and for the book publication were borne by our company. As a chill out meeting point for cultural and charity events, wine tasting, jazz brunches, Vernissage and cultivated hut entertainment it has long been established. With the Wedel hut on the highest Hochzillertal plateau (2,350m) hut entertainment reaches new heights. In the Wedel hut “Premium Lounge” guests can expect a cultivated service in the Gourmet restaurant. The delicacies on the 4-5 course menus are from originally interpreted Zillertal recipes. A recommendation for hobby sommeliers are the weekly wine tastings in the 2 story rocky wine vault with Panoramic views from Inntal to the Zillertal Alps.
Mountain hut overnight stops with four and five star cuisine
The Wedel hut at the highest point of the number one ski region in Zillertal, offers when considering the altitude an extraordinary infrastructure. The eleven luxury suites have five star cuisine, its own “Private Spa” and wellness showers. Cosy nights with four or five star cuisine under the starry skies of the Zillertal Alps can also be spent at the legendary Kristall hut. With the Kristall hut’s host Stefan Eder finish off your ski day with a Gourmet meal, a sauna, fire place chat and a glass of wine. A special tip is the Kristall Lounge outside: This “Day Spa” with outside fire place, new outdoor sauna, whirlpool and snuggly relaxing zone together with heated water beds has already achieved cult status. The Adler Lounge in East Tirol’s Großglockner resort Kals-Matrei also provides exclusively built and stylish suites for unforgettable nights. “Ski optimal” piste and hut entertainment in Zillertal
With its 181 kilometres of ski slopes is Ski-optimal Hochzillertal – Kaltenbach one of the ten best snow guaranteed ski regions in the entire Alps. Every year in ski resort surveys the home mountain of Stephan Eberharter achieves top rankings in – piste preparation, service, family friendliness and price-benefits-performance. The turnstiles are already open at 7.30am for the 38 modern lifts and cable cars that reach up to 2,500 metres high. And then on to powder cruising over the sunny summit piste or conditioning training on the eight kilometres long Stephan-Eberharter-Gold run and eleven kilometre long valley run to Aschau. The boarder generation are swept by heated 8 seater chair lift up to Öfelerjoch and the Almdudler Park. The “Little Zillertalers” have access to the 300m² Kids world (4-12 years) and the Zwergerl club (0-4 years) for a fast learning curve. The rest stops in Ski-optimal Hochzillertal Kaltenbach are also world class. The Kristall hut entices with tasty cooking and the Kristall Lounge with its open fire, whirlpool and heated water beds.
